Painting Conversation is a collaborative art project conducted since 2019. This particular series is realized with 18 participants based in Jeju and Fukuoka. While painting together, each participants shared stories around food, especially on “rice thief”. These paintings are presented as table mats on a long table cloth.
Along with the table mat paintings are ‘kitchen-related objects’ lent by the participants along with their recipe cards that the audience can take home. Additionally, the edited sound of the Painting Conversation is played in the background in a loop.
<그림 대화>는 2019년부터 진행해 온 ‘함께 그리는 회화’ 프로젝트다. 이번에는 ‘밥도둑'을 주제로 제주와 후쿠오카에 거주하는 18명의 참여자와 1:1로 마주 앉아 약 1시간 동안 음식에 대한 경험을 나누며 그린 것으로, 긴 식탁보 위에 테이블 매트가 되어 관객을 맞이한다.
테이블 매트 회화와 함께 참여자가 빌려준 ’부엌과 관련된 오브제‘ 그리고 관객이 가져갈 수 있는 레시피 카드가 전시되어 있으며, 그림을 그리며 나눈 대화를 편집한 사운드는 전시장에 반복 재생된다.
